The Professional Side
Dr. Emily Mejia is excited to welcome patients to Apex Dental Studio. Originally from Peru, she grew up in Orlando, Florida, and is proud to care for both English and Spanish-speaking patients. Her goal is to ensure every patient feels comfortable, informed, and genuinely cared for from the moment they walk through the door.
Dr. Mejia earned her bachelor’s degree in biology and master’s degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Central Florida before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Detroit Mercy. She is passionate about providing comprehensive dental care and is committed to continuing her education to offer patients the highest quality treatment. Her clinical interests include preventive care, restorative dentistry, root canal therapy, Invisalign®, and helping patients find relief from dental pain.
What Dr. Mejia enjoys most about dentistry is the unique combination of science, creativity, and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with her patients. She believes exceptional dental care begins with listening. By taking the time to understand each patient’s goals, concerns, and experiences, she creates a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions and confident in their treatment decisions.
The Personal Side
Outside the office, Dr. Mejia enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with her three birds, Zoro, Echo, and Daisy. Dr. Mejia looks forward to meeting new patients and helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles that last a lifetime.
